FOREST MONSOON

A swirling wind is stirring the leaves and clouding the air, making it difficult to see my way through the woods. My eyes sting, but I can see a woman approaching through the trees. Oddly, the wind and leaves are noisy but her footsteps are silent.

As she pauses a few feet away, something changes in me and I cannot move. I am fascinated and a bit nauseated with fear. The tension between those two feelings is turning my senses and reason upside down.

"Come here child", she croons.

THE BLACK WIDOW

The Widow in Black. Is she a figure to be Pitied? Rescued? Feared? Her beauty is seductive, but being close to her is always a risk.

This vintage ballgown is a lovely backdrop for the sophisticated necklace I purchased at Alchemy's Attic. (I added a lace collar and black undershirt to the gown to provide a dark dramatic backdrop behind the necklace.)

Like a widow confined to her mourning garb, a black widow spider is trapped in the amber charm, preserved in her beauty forever.

A MACABRE TALE

Stepping out of your book of fairy tales are the Billy Goats Gruff.

Once upon a time there were three billy goats, who were to go up to the hillside to make themselves fat, and the name of all three was "Gruff." On the way up was a bridge over a cascading stream they had to cross; and under the bridge lived a great ugly troll, with eyes as big as saucers, and a nose as long as a poker.

So first of all came the youngest Billy Goat Gruff to cross the bridge. "Trip, trap! trip, trap!" went the bridge. "Who's that tripping over my bridge?" roared the troll. "Oh, it is only I, the tiniest Billy Goat Gruff, and I'm going up to the hillside to make myself fat," said the billy goat, with such a small voice. "Now, I'm coming to gobble you up," said the troll. "Oh, no! pray don't take me. I'm too little, that I am," said the billy goat. "Wait a bit till the second Billy Goat Gruff comes. He's much bigger." "Well, be off with you," said the troll.

“Well, come along! I've got two spears,
And I'll poke your eyeballs out at your ears;
I've got besides two curling-stones,
And I'll crush you to bits, body and bones.”

That was what the big billy goat said. And then he flew at the troll, and poked his eyes out with his horns, and crushed him to bits, body and bones, and tossed him out into the cascade, and after that he went up to the hillside. There the billy goats got so fat they were scarcely able to walk home again. And if the fat hasn't fallen off them, why, they're still fat; and so,

Snip, snap, snout.

CIOCCOLATA GATCHA GATCHA FESTIVAL

SO MANY more cute things but I'll let someone else show you pictures. :) Most things are priced between L$10-30, the most expensive I noticed was L$50. Most items are transferrable so you can share duplicates with your friends, or trade. Dang I wish these KattyPop bags came in a fatpack, just kidding Ms. Pidgeon. I love the ones with guns in them, they're perfect for trick-or-treating in the Wastelands or some other really rough neighborhood >.<

GRAY DAY

Just a quick outfit for a gray day. Now that fall is sweeping in, I am more in the mood for layers in my clothing. Yesterday I bought a sweater too.

If I am going to dress all in one tone of clothing, I love to layer in lots of texture. Houndstooth, worn print and the velvety corduroy keep me interested! The pants include two other cuffs options, a narrow pair of rolled cuffs, and a very wide set of 70's bells.

HELL'S ANGEL

This costume starts with the helmet. This beauty from TonkTastic changes texture on touch to several finishes usable for military, wasteland punk, etc.; but my fave was this glossy black. The shine on the helmet did make it difficult to develop an outfit because the texture is so over-the-top, so I went looking for very shiny leathers, and the shine on this jacket from Heaven4D did not disappoint me. (It did take a while to adjust all the jacket prims to my shape but I don't mind.)

Added these rockin' pants from Goth1c0, which were a tad too lowrise for my taste so I pulled on a pair of my honey's undies. Don't worry, I took a clean one.

... yeah I have horns, I just keep them hidden under the helmet. ;P By the way, the Frick skin is a lovely prize from the Demonology Hunt. It comes in a pack of three skins: this white "Goth" skin, a dark charcoal gray skin, and a hell-demon-red skin. Don't miss.

THE STEAMCLOCK

I saw the SteamClock while on the Steam Hunt and was instantly impressed. The clock was sitting on top of this simply EVIL desk that I was trying to open, but I stopped a few minutes for a close look anyway. Back to the desk ... I suspected it held secret compartments and was pushing, pulling and trying to force open the drawers. Finally I managed the correct sequence (!) to open the large middle drawer, which did not contain the gear for which I was searching, but instead a good clue where to look. I was pleasantly surprised later to find that the hunt prize was this lovely SteamClock! (Though I would love to buy the desk too ... ) I zoomed in to show you the face of the clock, but you really should look at it yourself. It needs to be seen in motion: moving cogs, piston, motes of light, subtle sound ... wow. Really.

Touch everything in this store. Go up and look at the observatories-slash-skyboxes on display up above. Little galaxies in a globe. Lovely.

TWISTED HUNT FALL 2009

Applause to the organizers and creators who participated in the Twisted Hunt for again putting together a fabulous and well organized experience! *standing ovation* \O/

My first selection to show you is the gift from Blue Blood. It includes both a male and a female outfit in gorgeous goth. I am inspired by Monty Python to describe these garments as black, black, black, black, black, bloody, and black.

Are you sensing a theme in the pictures I chose, Hmm? This gown was provided by Goth1cO.

And I love the Headless AO from Creative Insanity. The Pose is a long animation rather than just a static pose, a must have. Now my problem is, shall I wear the Creative Insanity Witch AO for Halloween? Or this new Headless AO? *bites nails*

Now I took lots of pictures of my favorite Twisted Hunt stuffs and put them up on My Flickr if you would like to see them.
