MR. OCTOPUS

A couple of new treats for the budget conscious. Epic has several nice newish VIP Group exclusives out in their lobby. These Varsity Jackets are so cute you just wanna pinch their metaphorical cheeks. I think there were a half dozen versions with different colors and kawaii mascots. For $5L each? Wow.



And I went by Mother Goose's the other day to see what they are up to lately. I made out like a bandit at the Lucky Boards, bought all their Gorgeousss dollarbies, and tried on Demos. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by their newer skins!! A couple of years ago I tried on a lot of her work and although the faces were sooo lovely I was discouraged from buying after getting a close look at the bodies. NOT so anymore! Although some of the older skins are still sold in the shop, and still used in the Lucky boards, her newer work is quite nice. YAY! If you haven't been for a while, you should take another look. What I love about Mother Goose's is that her faces are distinctive ... If you don't want to look like everyone else, give her a whirl.

NUTMEG

The weather is turning cooler and I'm so grateful. I put a wreath of colored leaves and pumpkins on my door, and I'm looking for sweaters and thicker socks. Maybe I'm going a little overboard with the layering.

The nutmeg and cinnamon and cloves are waiting for the mortar and pestle. But the pumpkin isn't in at the grocery quite yet.

Now I wanted to tell you about this MESH hair. It isn't my usual style. I like it because of how it is rigged to my head and shoulders. I chose poses that show how I can turn my head left and right, without the long bits going into my shoulders at all. The effect is a bit static, so they included an extra attachment with floaty flexi bits to make it flow more naturally. Of course the down side is that the wig can't be resized, or individual strands of hair adjusted. But it is well worth a look! <3

MASTER OF UNDERDARK

p.s. Trilogy Rainytown's new "Woodcutter's Daughter" installation is cute for a little photography as well as good shopping. I bought the t-shirt at the Fox in the Snow shoppe because it intrigued me in a fairytale kind of way. The front of the T shows an apple hanging on a tree but the back shows the branches holding a broken mirror in a Snow White and Evil Queen kinda way. An odd fashion choice for an urban girl? I don't care. Even in the city we hope for happy endings. :)

IN THE WASTELANDS

A pretty ordinary evening in the Wastelands. Really. Just try to stay away from Reavers.

Only a fool would walk around here after dark without equipment. I have plenty up my sleeves. If you don't like it dark you can burn something. But I wouldn't waste any ordnance on that If I were you.

This belt comes with medical supplies as well as weapons in case anything goes wrong. The medic kit doesn't show in the pictures but I figured two shots of the bag is already overkill ... so to speak.

This Grenade bag has such amazing detail in the textures ... the craftsmanship is really fabulous. For instance, if you look under the flaps on the pouches he baked on shadows. The color of the fabric parts toggles on touch between khaki and black but the detail shows better on the khaki color. (touch pics to see more detail)

erm, I mean Luna Lovegood. For those of you who don't read J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter, Luna has an enchanted Lion Hat that she wears to cheer on the Griffindor Quidditch team. When I saw this headgear I laughed and had to have it, but I couldn't bring myself to buy it in blonde.

This lovely skin with some bruises and a little bandage near my eye are perfect for the brilliant yet absentminded girl who has occasional accidents whilst brewing potions.

Now Luna is messy and unconventional and doesn't spend much time worrying about whether her clothes really match. Stripes? Florals? Knits? Sneakers? Sure bring 'em on. (I modded this long skirt to knee length to show off the leggings.)
