SILVER SCREEN SIBYLLA

Yes, I am a fan of retro consignment shops. LIV-Glam has released the classic "Sibylla" gown, with a HUD that changes it to six different color combinations. Only L$55? Really? Even though it's brand new, and doesn't smell like Bal-a-Versailles and mothballs?



The timing was serendipity itself. I just purchased Curio's "Vintage" skins in a Mega Pack at Gala's fifty percent off sale. Every single skin she sells is half price until May 4th, when she will close her shop and re-tool everything with brand new skins. So if there is a skin pack you wanted but couldn't afford, now is the time!



This skin came in a pack with ten skin tones, multiplied by twelve makeups, everything with or without freckles. That comes to TWO HUNDRED FORTY skin options. If I photographed them all, this would be a really, really, really long post!



Oh yes and a darker eyebrow tattoo for good measure. All for L$1000. You can't beat that can you?

MISS PATIENCE

Lassitude and Ennui have served another delicious dessert of a dress at this month's Zodiac venue! Of course I believe wholeheartedly in gilding the lily, so I layered some lacy system layers underneath, and went for pure fantasy by adding these lovely horns that I picked up at the Plastik booth at Fantasy Faire.



I need to go back and get another HUD for the horns to texture change the gems, but when I was there I just couldn't choose! The basic HUD changes the colors of the leather straps and metal bits. Finally I put on a golden manicure and these cute little jeweled slippers that are some old favorites ... ready to go frolic in the faery woods!

The designers featured were chosen based on their designs fitting within Bay City's theme: the American urban experience, between 1940 and 1965, perhaps best typified by Chicago circa 1950 and marked by a distinct deco influence." oO! CIRQUE DU COSMETIQUE part one

I am a little late joining the party at the Cosmetic Fair, but I wanted to tell you that there are some really lovely offerings. I got a little bored photographing cosmetics in the conventional way, soo ...



Ladies and Gentlemen, for your amazement and edification we offer you some beautiful freaks of nature! I am The Ringmaster.  (Kooqla "Little Dragon" Eyeshadows available in four colors, and "Mango" Lips also available in more than a dozen other color options.)



Keep your distance from this deadly Alien beauty, you would be amazed how wide her multiple jaws can open! Do you think she is hungry? ("Baby Gloss" for Lips by Rozena, available in four colors.)



But there is nothing to fear from Rosie and Aggie, the Siamese Twins from Dorset. For three dollars they will stun you with their Bellydancing! Step right up!  (Blacklace "Harlow" cosmetics include tattoo lashes, and Dead Apples made the distinctive teeth. They come with or without the gap, and with twelve different alpha textures that give your mouth opening different appearance.)

DRAGON LADY

Today I had fun photographing a few beautiful new pieces from Finesmith and NV Corsetry! Finesmith has been putting out new jewels for us and I am wearing an avant-garde spiked hairpiece and lovely onyx beads. All resizable, and you can turn the full bright or glow on and off as you need for the occasion. I paired them with NV's Hatsuboku Corset in this subtle black and white print. You might want to click on the picture to get a closer look.



But it is too hard to pick just one of these corsets, there are so many sumptuous fabrics and prints from which to choose.



Here are the Pink Velvet, Kanji, and Gothic Blood Velvet Corsets. These velvets come in a couple more colors, but you get the idea.

ON SAFARI

Ready for an adventure?



This tweedy poncho is great for staying warm in the high desert plain, but it sometimes wears oddly in extreme poses. I recommend trying a demo. The crisp little collar with metal points and button is lovely but I wish it were resizable. I adjusted my shape a bit to wear it.



The pants are handy with nice deep pockets, and a hefty pocket watch on a chain. Love the detailing and the long relaxed fit of the legs. One suspender dangling making me feel like the girl Indiana Jones!

GUILTY

From Finesmith, the "Guilt" Collar: spiky, sharp and uncomfortable like its namesake. I am enjoying the symbolism. I think the collar would have to be considered a guilty pleasure. Seeing it, I thought it would go beautifully with a gothic look.



Sassy's Red Carpet Gown is available in more glamorous colors, and more spring-friendly colors, but I think this crimson and black ombre version is a perfect match to the statement necklace. The base of the gown is mesh, with two different shoulder pieces and some flexi skirts to add if you like. I also love how the slinky skirt moves without the sheer overskirts. The luxurious fabric has a subtle pattern that you can just see if you look closely.



(I did have to do a bit of photo editing where the Hairdo and the Collar interfered with each other.)

SHANTI

Another keeper! LIV-Glam has released three different versions of this new Shanti mini dress: three funky prints, each with a HUD that lets you pick from six different colors. I wanted to do a monotone night time look so I picked the grey print, but it also comes in teal, purple, green, red ... you get the idea.



I wanted to dress it up more with these sparkly leggings, jacket, and ginormous chunky jewelry. You can choose a whole bunch of gem colors and metals, to make them match darn near any outfit you own. Me likey.

Adore and Abhor's Fifth Anniversary sale is still open through April 16th at the A&A mainstore. Evie Miles put this little gem of a gown out for us in three colors, including blue and green. I'm wearing most of the attachments, but left off the sheer flexi sleeve drapes.



We're all spoiled now with the change from sculpts and flexi skirts to rigged mesh, but even though this dress is made with "old school" construction, it's still a beauty and only L$75. If it bothers you that your bum sticks out the back slightly in some poses, you might try wearing it with a kimono AO or a corset AO. I love the floaty ombre skirt. A stunner!
