I'm not sure how gothic Plaid really is but I'll try. :D  I can always dress it up with black eyeliner and these skull-y accessories. Does it work? The coat and umbrella weren't even made by the same designer. The coat-dress was made by Fission and the gacha umbrella by Third Time's the Charm! Both at Gothmas by Gaslight.



I added earrings and a ring by Maxi Gossamer. And black and purple makeup from Mock cosmetics, to make the skin more in theme.



The shoes and nails are both pretty over-the-top Goth. Spiders at Christmas? OK! ;D

I'M MELTING!

Time is flying by and there are only a few more days before most of the Holiday events close! I still have a few more things to show so I'd better hurry right? HO HO HO

I hope your Holiday was lovely and peaceful! I enjoyed it so much. I loved watching my daughter opening all her gifts but the best was how excited she was too see the new bike from Grampa. We kept it simpler this year; it was more relaxing. In Second Life, so many designers sent sweet little gifts. My favorite was the hunt over at the Inspiration Point sim. If you haven't gone yet, hurry!



I'll take a little time for happy introspection, to sip some hot cocoa, and put on some fuzzy slippers. I thought Christmas might be brown this year, but we finally got some snow late Christmas Eve.



( I love these new ears. Available at a discount for just a few more days at the Men's Department, the HUD changes them to three shapes, earrings, painted tips, or you can turn off the paint and jewelry. It comes with a very nice selection of skin tone presets and a hand tinting tool.)

Avatar Bizarre's purple frock isn't that dark, but I suppose you could style it that way if you like. I just wore it with some sweet birthstone jewels that VRD put into a little gacha. These eyes are intimidating aren't they? They come in a lovely rainbow of colors, at the Pin Me Down shop.

HOLIDAYS GONE GOTHIC

I love red and green and candy canes too, but if you like your holiday season more dark and cold, Gothmas by Gaslight is opening its doors today at Noon SLT!! Gothmas is intended to show a darker holiday, catering more to the goth, Steampunk, diesel and dark Victorian genres. I may need smelling salts.



I styled this Cloak and Gown to look a bit more antique by layering a lace shirt underneath. I couldn't decide whether I liked the Black or the White version better, so I settled on wearing the White cloak over the Black gown.



Some lovely amethyst jewels from a set by NSP, and Beautiful Freak's drippy smeary eyeliner. How tragic. I also need to show you the purple snowflakes on the back of the cloak ...

CHRISTMAS EXPO

If you are feeling charitable for the Holidays, you can head over to the SL Christmas Expo, with eight sims of holiday fun including two sims of Breedables. The Christmas Expo is a Relay for Life Fundraiser benefiting the American Cancer Society. I am still enjoying the décor so here I am showing some of the displays over at the House of Avro. You seed some singing elves for your house don't you?

SNOW FAE

This dress is a lovely contribution to the Peace on Earth Hunt from Blue Moon. It includes some simple animated flexi wings. The dress is actually pale green but the oncoming twilight is making it look gray. And Dench Designs' snowy décor is perfect for a winter photo shoot. Love it! I was tempted to add more animals and my sled and hot chocolate, but I didn't want you to be confused about what was included in the prop. Yes of course the bench has sitting poses in it.

LET IT SNOW

This December you can go for a walk on the Snowy Side in a few finds from the Peace on Earth Hunt, which started the first of December and runs happily through Three Kings Day on the sixth of January. This is the Seventh year for this hunt and with 117 stops along the way, it should keep you happily occupied until you can finally get in to the Arcade. *grins*



I am feeling frozen in this frosty gown from Dulce Secrets. The sleeves are separate if you would rather not wear them. The outfit came with snowflake accessories, makeup, skin and some very pretty ice-blue eyes. I didn't try out the skin cause it would have meant matching my hands, feet and ears to a different skin-tone but you can try it to see if you like it. :D I finished the outfit with Ms. Mirja Mills' sweet fantasy mask and a lovely sapphire ring from GDit Jewelry.

AVI CHOICE HOLIDAYS part two

One of my fave new finds was a new store called "Follow Us" that was just chock full of yummy holiday goodness. Believe me I'm not showing all of it here. But this first piece of seasonal chalkboard art I did buy and take home to hang over my mantel. It comes in a few different sizes, with or without the twinkle lights. Keeper!!

AVI CHOICE HOLIDAYS

I ran over last night to take a sneak peek of Avi-Choice's Holidays Fair and it made my heart happy to see all the Christmas spirit and fun! You should go see all the Holly and Snowflakes and Santas. Of course this fair has plenty of Christmas shopping for clothes but I honestly had more fun looking at all the Holiday décor and cheer so I snapped a few photos. And picked up a couple of cute things for my house of course. :D



Santa is waiting for you to sit on his lap!! That is Winter Wonderland Shop's "Naughty or Nice" gift sitting in his lap. I understand all the stores will have one, but the venue was still being set up last night while I was there. A couple of the stores rudely gave me lumps of coal or snowballs but I'm sure it was all just a misunderstanding. Everyone knows how Nice I am. :O
