MARCH!

Forgive me if I'm slow getting back up and running, I've been on an extended mall crawl seeing what's new. I was gone on vacation so I missed new releases and most of the Valentines Day sales and hunt hype, but ...

Yes!
Yes! YES!!

oh baby!!!

JUST RAMBLING

Okay sorry I've been out of town, mostly without internet access. We went on vacation to California, Mom has dial-up (enuff said?) ... our daughter loved Disneyland, but afterward I was too tired to get online ... then the in-laws took us on a cruise and the ship wanted me to pay $24.00 for sixty minutes of internet access which they informed me would be slower than DSL. Not going to happen.

So really the cruise would have been okay if I wanted several mostly inactive days and too much to eat. On the middle day I was watching CNN and Sean Penn was on to talk about his trip to Haiti. He is an actor I suppose but I don't think he was acting ... he looked like he wanted to cry. The part that stuck in my memory was the part where he mentioned that in a month or so Haiti will begin its rainy season. Tens of thousands of people who are now living in tents made of tarps or maybe just bedsheets, will soon be living in soggy, muddy tents made of tarps or maybe just bedsheets. I don't suppose there is a portapotty on every corner. The sanitation problems will be washed around all parts of the streets in all of those tent cities. Then disease ...

What a contrast.

HOT FOR ZOMBIES

Usually I'm just a wallflower.

But when I met him I just couldn't help myself. We danced all night. (And let me say, for the undead he was shockingly light on his feet.)

Then abruptly, everything went wrong ... just a little nosebleed sent him completely around the bend. But I kept a cool head.

I had to get all kung fu on him for a minute.

But hey, it was all just a misunderstanding.

The Hot for Zombies "Bloody Valentines Celebration" this weekend benefits the Red Cross. Why not go shopping and enjoy the company of the Undead? I am wearing a shirt and skirt I picked up at the fundraiser.

THE WANDERING FAE PAUSES

I have not visited Hosoi Ichiba for a long time.

It feels good to just stop. I will just sit a while and learn about traditional japanese culture. *laughs* Actually, I remember this traditional culture, from my last visit. Several hundred years ago now ... This recreated slide show is not exactly accurate.

But I can't sit still for long. Hmm this bridge is new ... oh this is lovely.

Why don't I do this every day? *sigh*

p.s. I showed you these pants before but I wanted you to see the bloomers version with the frilly cuffs. You can also see Achariya wearing the pants with regular straight cuffs here.

pps. I realized after selecting photos that I didn't post any that showed the fab elf ears. You can see them here. They come with a nice HUD that comes with several skincolor presets plus you can save a few of your own, and you can change the colors on the ear cuffs and feathers.

J'ADORE CARIBE

I seriously LOVE this skin! Let me count the ways ... I love love love the rich color. I love the down to earth human-ness of it. I love the shiny spots, bumps, freckles and texture ... the unplucked eyebrows. Come on, take a closer look. With all those grooming faux pas, still ... undeniably beautiful.

Today is February 1. In the United States we are celebrating Black History Month. My feelings about that are complicated ... as I have mentioned before, I grew up in the Caribbean. I remember my elementary school lessons about Crispus Attucks, Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman &c. But like a LOT of people in the Caribbean, I am a mixture of white and brown and red. Should I take sides? Whose side could I or should I pick? For some people the choice is obvious. Whatever my family tree is, my skin looks white. ... But I don't want to choose. I love it all.

Skin: My UglyDorothy "Black Beauty" (gift!)
Hair: booN "DDD110"
Eyes: Poetic Color "Night Rain"
Shirt: Second Wave Apparel "Cami-T Lace Trim Tradewinds"
Pants: Immerschoen "Jean Samoa Light"
Shoes: Zero Number "Flip Flops"
Location: Emvee Cuba
