I kind of missed last Christmas. Last year a little before Christmas my Dad passed away and months just went by hazy. After all this time I'm trying to get back to enjoying some of the things I used to. So here I am playing around with my old toys.

FIXATIONS

I have to admit, I have a fixation on food. I find myself hungrily eyeing the sprinkles on this knit hat and I wish I could really eat the luscious cherry on top of the cone. I guess I shouldn't go shopping for clothes when I am hungry.



I don't really go for the more risqué clothing at the Epic Store, but I still like a lot of their Kawaii accessories. All in bright candy colors. Or chocolate shoes that look almost good enough to eat. I could go for a Waffle Cone right about now. :D

I MUSTACHE YOU A QUESTION

Do you like moustaches? I found two moustache-themed bits hanging in my bloggity folder and an idea for an outfit was born. Lassitude and Ennui's dress and the cream-colored stockings are new over at Collabor88. Sorry but the moustache tights are no longer available, I picked them up on clearance and they're gone. But they are still cute right? *happydance*



The "Salt and Pepper" skins are a little different from Inka Mexicola's usual, I look so red-eyed and desolate!  Also included, reddened cheeks and tears tattoos. Find them at the Creepy Kawaii event. I was also tempted by the cute dress with the eyeballs, but come on I have so many of those already! :D Some purple lipstick and off we go! Packs of yummy lipsticks are appearing at Essences that match several of the newer skins.

THE I-SCREAM QUEEN

I love a minty cool outfit as the warmer weather kicks in! I'm layering this maxi dress over a hybrid shirt that I really loved finding over at Violent Seduction. I wish more people made things like this. It is a system-layer shirt with rigged and unrigged collar and bow, and rigged sleeves both long and short. If I wanted to layer the shirt under a jacket I could leave off the sleeves. Get the idea? Pretty please designers make more flexible pieces like this!



I don't usually show hands close-up but I wanted you to see this cute cupcake ring (a group gift over at the Chapter Four birthday party) and these cute fingernails. The details show a little better on the nail HUD courtesy of the Sugar Garden.

SUEDE

All the suede of this Hucci outfit feels so decadent to me! ... True story, this year I was groaning as I passed by all the suede shoes at one of my favorite shops. I love suede, but let's face it, it doesn't last long enough. Hard to clean, chafed spots show wear too quickly, and before you know it, you are throwing away your favorite shoes. In this regard, Second Life is obviously superior, your nice things never wear out, although the inventory monster might munch on a few of them occasionally ...



I know you've seen this stuff from Collabor88 already, it's all fabulous. I think the coordinated palette is wonderful and working together must be so much more fun for the designers. The Schadenfreude boots are delicious and HUD-driven to control the leatherwork details. Amazed.

THE WANDERING FAE PAUSES

I have not visited Hosoi Ichiba for a long time.

It feels good to just stop. I will just sit a while and learn about traditional japanese culture. *laughs* Actually, I remember this traditional culture, from my last visit. Several hundred years ago now ... This recreated slide show is not exactly accurate.

But I can't sit still for long. Hmm this bridge is new ... oh this is lovely.
