I'm inspired to go dark, dark, dark by the fabulous Glam Affair skin from the Platinum Hunt. I put together a quick Urban look with menswear from the Make Him Over Hunt. In particular I had a good laugh trying on the pants on my male avatar ... it comes with a sculpted "bulge" that is a little TOO anatomically correct. (Hell no I'm not modeling that thing LOL.)

Dusted off some yummy brown Hoorenbeek boots from my closet. You know how there are some things you buy that you still love a year later? Like that.

... Okay one more, to give you a better look at the new cat's eyes from Poetic Colors. As well as several beautiful colors of irises, They come with light or dark eyewhites, and prim eye reflections. Just lovely.

THE WANNABE VAMPYRE HUNTER

I'm gonna bag me a monster tonight.

I've been hangin' out in the cemetery all afternoon. But its getting close now.

With a fresh grave ready, there ought to be something bad stirring around.

But I sure hate the last half hour of waiting.

Just for laughs, today I am modeling a bare chested rockstar-wannabe vamp hunter. I laugh now, but I remember when I was a kid I was scared of things like vampires from watching the movies. But the monster hunters looked pretty stupid to me. Why didn't they just leave some donated IV bloodbags for the vampires? Why didn't they weld on steel collars that keep the vampire from biting their necks? Why did the women in these movies always trip over something when they were running away? Why do all the victims have to be so darn stupid all the time?!?

p.s. I finally gave up on the idea that my husband might ever be much interested in Second Life, so Inotto is now officially my male alt. I've put too much work into him to throw him in the virtual dustbin so you'll see him now and again.

For my taste, this skin is the prize that makes the hunt. It is much less photo sourced than the previous MHOH hunt skins featured, and the photo elements are so carefully blended in you don't notice them. I stripped Inotto down to his Arnadi undies and looked him over till he felt like a cheap piece of meat LOL. The attention to detail was all that! Parts of this skin to which many designers pay less attention were flawless. For example, the scalp has the same kind of subtle freckling as the rest of the face. And for my money this skin has the prettiest ears I have seen on any skin male or female. (I resisted the urge to take a close up shot of his ears, you're welcome.) The dragon tattoo is an alpha layer addition.

Magically swapped tattoos so you could see this one too. There were several to find in this Hunt but I think this one from Aitui is the most original. Perfectly bone chilling and went nicely with this dark Dracula-esque suit from LnL. Muahahaha. You can't even see fangs until he bares them.

WHY HELLO THERE

Could you put on a little Luther Vandross?

I just melt in these eyes, and nothing but appreciation for the man wearing this skin. He is just mature enough, starting to get one or two silver bits in his hair.

An adult. And the jacket is like the man, just a little aged, but well cared for.

He knows how to dress up for a casual dinner.

DON'T CALL ME KEN [edited]

Once again it is time for me to hijack Inotto and take him on a men's themed hunt for new clothing and accessories. There are a few hunts that we know from past experience are always worth the time, and the Make Him Over Hunt is one of them. Just don't tease him if you see him, yes I dressed him up like a big ol' Ken doll and spent a while photographing him. So far he has kept his sense of humor about it.

(OK Achariya this first shot I took with you in mind. We've all been enjoying your hunky photographs.) This gift skin from AtomicBambi is pleasantly good-looking. As indicated it is a Beta skin. If you get up close you can see a few patches that are very slightly blurry where seams were apparently removed, but from a reasonable distance these are not noticeable. I especially like the lips. Yummy.

I wanted to say something about this skin too. Illninia is a new skinmaker, I think, located over in the hostile territory of the Wastelands. This last item made me get all excited and even Inotto cracked a smile. This lovely DCCXXIII “W19” vintage pocket watch is color and texture change, a working timepiece. The leather case has a strap with snap that opens and closes to keep the watch from getting lost, I opened it so you could see the whole watch face. Wow.

MAKE HIM OVER HUNT

I "persuaded" my hunny to go on the Make Him Over Hunt, dressed him up and ignored his grumbling while I took pictures. Yum.

Watching him unpack I was stunned by the amazing quality and variety of the gifts on this hunt. There is a good selection of several types of clothing ... some everyday wear, some dressy, some vintage and historical, some gothy, some shoes, a couple bits of man jewelry, some hair, some skin, poses, a basic AO, even a messenger bag. Everything in this photo is from the hunt, except for the middle pair of shoes. Thanks to all the marvelous vendors for helping our men dress so well! *APPLAUSE*
