Gothic isn't always dressed down. It can also have all the sophistication of this marbled-fabric gown, embellished with fur, feathers, and jewels. (It doesn't show in these photos, but there is also a feathered fan on my tush.) I am perfectly gowned for some dark ballroom among the unseelie or the vampire clans.



And I can't tell you how impressed I am with this necklace from the Bliensen and Maitai shop. at first glance it just seems a shiny black, but under advanced lighting there is this eerie green sheen. I can't stop staring ...

PROSTHETICS

I keep telling myself that even though I am all in pieces, that doesn't mean I can't rebuild a better me. So what if that means prosthetics? We all have our crutches, don't we?



And these new arms and legs are amazing. The technology includes several hand gestures and three different configurations of interchangeable feet. And my new hover chair puts those old timey wheelchairs to shame. I really am grateful. Mostly.



I want to mention that when I tried on the arms and legs I wasn't really impressed ... until I turned on the Advanced Lighting settings! The nice texture is made with materials and is not very noticeable until you put on bright lighting, so turn on your brightest environmental settings for best effect.

BUBBLEGUM

Does the future have to be dark and dystopian? I say no. So do the designers over at Futurewave! Happily there are also bright happy colors and impressive technology. For example this fab outfit ... by Zibska.



Obviously all the bubblegum-pink spheres are floating in anti-gravity. The pieces come with texture change HUDs so you can have everything in lots of different lovely colors.

EMINENTLY SUITABLE

Yes at Gothmas you can also find some nice things for the gentlemen! I don't show menswear often but I am loving this suit. I'm not sure how gothic Plaid really is but I'll try. :D  I can always dress it up with black eyeliner and these skull-y accessories. Does it work? The coat and umbrella weren't even made by the same designer. The coat-dress was made by Fission and the gacha umbrella by Third Time's the Charm! Both at Gothmas by Gaslight.



I added earrings and a ring by Maxi Gossamer. And black and purple makeup from Mock cosmetics, to make the skin more in theme.



The shoes and nails are both pretty over-the-top Goth. Spiders at Christmas? OK! ;D

So many beautiful things as Gothmas that I'm not sure I can show you all my favorites before the event closes! Today I wanted to bring you something that is neither goth nor Christmassy, but rather something perhaps for a dark Victorian fantasy.



Avatar Bizarre's purple frock isn't that dark, but I suppose you could style it that way if you like. I just wore it with some sweet birthstone jewels that VRD put into a little gacha. These eyes are intimidating aren't they? They come in a lovely rainbow of colors, at the Pin Me Down shop.
