SHOWING MY AGE

I've always loved to mash-up outfits with bits of this and that and mix old and new. I wore pointy ears and wings before it was the "thing" and I'm still wearing them after it was the "thing". This outfit contains rigged mesh, unrigged mesh, sculpted prims, system clothing and flexi-prims. The top half of my body is my system shape, the bottom half is a mesh body, because my kewl new pants are appliers-only. I wish Second Life had more appreciation for longevity; just because something is getting older doesn't mean it isn't still beautiful, like this scarf, which I bought in 2009. Hmm? STILL LIFE WITH FERRETS

Get real. If there is one thing ferrets never are, it's STILL. But they make me happy the way animals do. Just having an easy day in a casual outfit. The glasses, shirt and jeans are all in one, but you can also wear the jeans alone with something else. It comes with a HUD that changes the colors of each piece.



The shoes too, you can change the colors of the boot, heel, sole, elastic, and the socks. I used an extra HUD to get the vintage print on the socks. I love choices!!

Gothic isn't always dressed down. It can also have all the sophistication of this marbled-fabric gown, embellished with fur, feathers, and jewels. (It doesn't show in these photos, but there is also a feathered fan on my tush.) I am perfectly gowned for some dark ballroom among the unseelie or the vampire clans.



And I can't tell you how impressed I am with this necklace from the Bliensen and Maitai shop. at first glance it just seems a shiny black, but under advanced lighting there is this eerie green sheen. I can't stop staring ...

A HOT MESS

Yes I'm a Hot Mess. I filed for divorce last week, and I am emotionally mentally and spiritually scattered. I've got to get it together. It doesn't leave a lot of energy for blogging but I need to pick myself up and get on with things. So here is what I have been wearing for a few days.

RAIN

Another lovely skin that debuted at Skin Fair. "Rain" has subtly stronger features; a straight nose, and thick straight eyebrows. The look is a bit assertive, but still feminine. And lately the Essences skins have been accompanied with lipsticks options. Loving them!!



I thought this bold skin would be fabulous with a bolder coat. The David Heather Funnel Coat has made its way back to his Main store. I love the modern assymetrical line.



And these shoes are taken from a brand new collection that opened a couple of weeks ago at Fate Island. Damien Fate has a new shoe line including both men's and women's styles that come with a texture-change and tinting HUD so you can match them to any outfit you like. I adore this kind of flexibility. Thank you!!

RELEASE THE HOUNDSTOOTH

A little conservative outfit today. It would be boring without the texture, but I liked the contrast between the Houndstooth and the Floral lace. This look would have been too dark without the bold color of the jewels. All worn over my favorite new skin from Skin Fair. Just look at the plush pillowy lips Inka Mexicola put on this face!! FUTURESCAPE

I just adore the concept of this suit I found over at FutureWave. Very high-fashion. The package included versions intended to fit a few different mesh bodies (which I am not wearing) and a fitted mesh version, but no "Standard Sizes" versions. Personally I usually prefer the fit of Standard Sizes, but today I am wearing the Belleza jacket version and the Maitreya skirt version. (Demo always.) Love it!



I am convinced that in the future as our world becomes more consumed by technology and modernism we will all feel more nostalgia for the natural world that sits mostly unobserved outside our windows today. I felt uncomfortable with Bauwerk's lovely techno furnishings until I slipped in a treasured painting from one of Whiskey Monday's gallery sales. It softens it so well.

I MUSTACHE YOU A QUESTION

Do you like moustaches? I found two moustache-themed bits hanging in my bloggity folder and an idea for an outfit was born. Lassitude and Ennui's dress and the cream-colored stockings are new over at Collabor88. Sorry but the moustache tights are no longer available, I picked them up on clearance and they're gone. But they are still cute right? *happydance*



The "Salt and Pepper" skins are a little different from Inka Mexicola's usual, I look so red-eyed and desolate!  Also included, reddened cheeks and tears tattoos. Find them at the Creepy Kawaii event. I was also tempted by the cute dress with the eyeballs, but come on I have so many of those already! :D Some purple lipstick and off we go! Packs of yummy lipsticks are appearing at Essences that match several of the newer skins.
