One of the most fun parts of Fantasy Faire is the people-watching.  Yesterday I walked past a dragon. Later I saw a satyr, a demon, and something else I couldn't identify dancing together around a fire. Let the wild rumpus begin!

I had such great fun today at the Fantasy Faire!! You absolutely must not miss it. The builds are really stunning. I say that every time I go ... but just when I think they couldn't possible do anything better, they completely surpass themselves. So much to see, do, and of course buy (all for a good cause of course).



Believe it or not this lovely fantasy skin is a gift from Plastik. NOT QUITE SPRING

We aren't quite to spring yet; it keeps alternating between cold, rainy, and warm, and I am not going to get suckered into planting things just to have them get snowed on one more time. Still, I hope we are almost at the end of sweater weather?



I got a big ol' smile on my face when I tried on these beautiful boots by Livalle! The photo can't really show how amazing the textures are. Some of the leather is matte, some shiny, with very subtle color variations. (You don't often hear people talk about variations between black and black, do you?) Very well done.



And I still enjoy customizing my newish mesh head with cosmetics appliers. Today I am wearing a very nice wispy hair base and some gorgeous new lip gloss ... Lipsticks are my new guilty pleasure.

TOUCH THE SKY

A quick casual outfit to go out shopping. I was happy to find this simple shirt in an applier for layering under other mesh pieces. The applier has two necklines and two sleeve lengths for a bit of flexibility.



... And some fun jewelry. Some amazing detail goes into the mesh of this ring for example. Lassitude and Ennui's lion head ring, texture changing to three metals.



These high-waisted pants are from Ducknipple. I'm glad they are still around and making the transition from system layers and sculpted attachments to rigged mesh. I love to see old favorite stores with longevity, and newcomers all in the mix!

STUPID CUPID

Even those of us who are not involved with anyone at present would love to get something anonymously flattering in the mailbox. I think a good cupid should be a mail carrier. This purse is the perfect one to carry billets-doux. I love how perfectly it perches on my forearm. The pose is built in that holds my hand just-so.

BUNDLING UP AT HOME

I just moved into this new home on a snowy hilltop and I. ADORE. IT. This new wood-and-stone beauty by Trompe Loeil is all beauty and practicality. These days you can find small properties with higher prim counts, so I love that my new home has three levels to take advantage of the vertical space, but still feels comfortably roomy.

I finally changed out of my old stinky pajamas after nine months. I can't believe I was away for that long but unwilling to miss Halloween.  I needed a shower and a new hairdo real bad. It wasn't pretty.



Catching up on bento heads, hands, and animated meshes. Needed a new computer for all that. I love the newer mesh heads and spent a long time trying to get my new head to look like my old eccentric one. The facial animations are so much better. SHOWING MY AGE

I've always loved to mash-up outfits with bits of this and that and mix old and new. I wore pointy ears and wings before it was the "thing" and I'm still wearing them after it was the "thing". This outfit contains rigged mesh, unrigged mesh, sculpted prims, system clothing and flexi-prims. The top half of my body is my system shape, the bottom half is a mesh body, because my kewl new pants are appliers-only. I wish Second Life had more appreciation for longevity; just because something is getting older doesn't mean it isn't still beautiful, like this scarf, which I bought in 2009. Hmm? FIXATIONS

I have to admit, I have a fixation on food. I find myself hungrily eyeing the sprinkles on this knit hat and I wish I could really eat the luscious cherry on top of the cone. I guess I shouldn't go shopping for clothes when I am hungry.
