FASHION FOR LIFE 2013 six

This. Outfit. ROCKS. Still photography can't convey it. First of all, The yellow parts of the design are apparently lit by some futuristic alien energy source. The light pulses, slowly oscillating between yellow and brighter white. And I love the combination of ancient Egyptian inspiration and future-cyber materials. The charcoal material straddles the line between silk and latex. J'adore!!



The set includes not only the sexy gown, luscious black skin, and shimmery cosmetics, but also a very avant-garde wig, and a futurist version of the Egyptian ceremonial beard. These accessories didn't look good on my oddly shaped head, so I left them in my closet.



I love this dress so so hard! But PLEASE NOTE this is not really what the back of the dress looks like. It is really low cut in the back but I didn't want to show my bum, so I am wearing some black undershorts underneath. WEDNESDAY

Little Wednesday Addams has grown up. But you know her style is still ... unusual. She fell in love with this menacing necklace she found at the Tekeli-Li booth at the Fantasy Faire. It's quite a statement necklace, but what is it saying?

And the Identity corset is a lot like Wednesday; it looks soft on the outside, but has to be strong on the inside. The little ruffle around the bottom softens the severe black. (It looks really sexy in the back too. You should go try it on.)

CLOSE ENCOUNTER

He should have been afraid, but he was too busy checking my silhouette. I turned toward him and rattled my tentacles a bit. I could see the fear as soon as he saw them coiling and uncoiling. Perhaps he'd mistaken them for hair in the dark.

But he didn't run. That was odd.

So I put the human in his place. But he lay there and stared. He still didn't run.

I swear some humans don't have any sense of self-preservation at all.

(I was inspired by these GrollWerks cyber arms. They can be retextured lots of ways and they don't have to be shiny like I made them here. I preferred the matte black but it didn't really photograph well. The result was fab fun, especially since the gas mask made me sound like Lord Vader.

One more note; about the boots. Their shape is very creative but the boots are obviously made for people with very thin calves and large feet. (Think anorexic couture models.) When I put them on, the contrast between the tiny calves and muscular thighs was jarring, so I made a new, much thinner shape. I try to avoid doing this but I really do love boots.)

MASTER OF UNDERDARK

The raving crowd pushes me through the doors of the church but I am relieved and grateful that I might find help ... I should have known better. Staring at the strange idol I begin to feel peculiar. My stomach clenches and I feel cold and sweaty.

I don't know how much time has passed. I don't remember feeling sick but just waking on the rough floor. I still feel ... outside of myself. Someone is whispering?

With a mad laugh I salute my new master. The sun is going down.

For the next couple of days the second Black Bacchanal is visiting at the Hollow Earth sim, hosted by Tekeli-li, and its theme is H.P. UNDER THE SEA

Who knows what lives under the sea? ... Could be anything down there.
