THE ROAD WARRIOR

With the new Mad Max movie coming out, it was fun to see Road Warrior - inspired gear at the new post-apocalyptic quarterly event called "The End". I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with coming installments of the event, which will return in July. FATEwear's Max and Tina sets are lovely but they have returned to the main store on Fate Island. (I really love well made roleplay-style gear!)



Of course the set comes in different color combinations, sizes, and so on as we have come to expect from all of Damien Fate's work, including a desert-camo styled set that looks more military. And this great bandanna ties over my nose to keep out all that dust and road debris.



And yes spurs. Why not? Good for fightin'.

I'M MELTING!

Time is flying by and there are only a few more days before most of the Holiday events close! I still have a few more things to show so I'd better hurry right? HO HO HO

I hope your Holiday was lovely and peaceful! I enjoyed it so much. I loved watching my daughter opening all her gifts but the best was how excited she was too see the new bike from Grampa. We kept it simpler this year; it was more relaxing. In Second Life, so many designers sent sweet little gifts. My favorite was the hunt over at the Inspiration Point sim. If you haven't gone yet, hurry!



I'll take a little time for happy introspection, to sip some hot cocoa, and put on some fuzzy slippers. I thought Christmas might be brown this year, but we finally got some snow late Christmas Eve.



( I love these new ears. Available at a discount for just a few more days at the Men's Department, the HUD changes them to three shapes, earrings, painted tips, or you can turn off the paint and jewelry. It comes with a very nice selection of skin tone presets and a hand tinting tool.)

Aw look at that face!! No silly, not my face. The puppeh! Birdy has been making so many adorable pets lately that I can't resist. This one has been at the Men's Department a while, so make sure you pick him up. He comes with a HUD that lets you change the color of his little hoodie.



You know the good girls like a naughty dog. :D  He's not exactly one of those dogs that can be trained to ride around in your purse, but on the whole he behaves well.

PARADE READY!

Does anyone out there know the difference between a Sousaphone and a Tuba? Sorry, but I was every other kind of geek, but not a band geek. In any event, I am ready for the Independence Day parade on Thursday. Fortunately my instrument is scripted to play by itself, since I never had any lessons. When I spotted the skateboard I thought it must be better than walking in the 104 degree heat predicted for July Fourth. Sweet!



I put together some red and blue out of pieces just released by LIV-Glam. I love that many of their inexpensive mesh garments come with texture change HUDs that let you pick from tons of colors. I immediately liked this jacket that drapes over your shoulders as if placed there by a considerate male companion. The pants have a lovely parade stripe made of metal studs.



For fun I added the big collar from Coco's Bow shirt. I wanted to mention that she will soon be retiring many of her older sculpted pieces, and some real classic favorites that still wear very well are on sale for L$50 to 100. An opportunity you shouldn't miss!
