I have to admit, I have a fixation on food. I find myself hungrily eyeing the sprinkles on this knit hat and I wish I could really eat the luscious cherry on top of the cone. I guess I shouldn't go shopping for clothes when I am hungry.



I don't really go for the more risqué clothing at the Epic Store, but I still like a lot of their Kawaii accessories. All in bright candy colors. Or chocolate shoes that look almost good enough to eat. I could go for a Waffle Cone right about now. :D

RETURN TO INNSMOUTH

Well I figured if I was going to blog clothing with tentacles, I had to set up camera in Innsmouth. I haven't visited there for a while, and I'm happy to say that this happy little tourist spot has improved its ambiance since my last overnighter! Here's my first shot with a friendly native New Englander, we just met but it seems like we've been friends forever!



I couldn't resist an extra shot of their quaint old-timey seaport ...



I've been collecting these tentacle bits from Silentsparrow and Schadenfreude for a while, the collaborative vest and stockings have recently appeared at Fifty Linden Fridays. I thought this gorgeous Deco hair went with my antennae just perfectly. Really! Just don't miss the Deco booth at Hair Fair. I wanted to buy it all, but settled for a fatpack of this coif. (This odd angle I photographed just to show the hair from the side.)



Had to add a little nose-sushi. Actually this Nose Ring is a group gift from Epic, which color changes, but in green it looks like a little bit of something evil is escaping my sinuses. Eww.

DRAGON A L'ORANGE

As always when October comes around, our favorite designers get in the spirit of things and put out Halloween editions of some of their lovelies, some of them so inexpensive or even free that anyone on a tiny budget can join the rest of us prancing around in costume!

For example, this outfit includes a strapped outfit I picked up at the Plastik, a store well worth your time to go to anytime. She already puts out regular dollarbies and group lucky boards, but this month you need to go see the Halloween treat tables and bob for apples. Over the suit I am wearing a new NV mesh corset that is a gift at the Womenstuff Lounge. There is also a beautiful group gift available in the group history for a couple more days, in a lighter orange, more of a quilted creamsicle.



Pink Fuel has also set out a couple of beautiful presents, I won't spoil all the surprises, but they include this Halloween-edition skin with Orange metallic eyeshadow. I added these riveting orange eyes by Insufferable Dastard that I picked up at the Arcade Gacha venue.



And I thought Epic's legwarmers and hoofies would work with the Dragon set from Tokushi Avatars. The hooves are a VIP group gift. Joining the group is not free, but the gifts are frequent and I think worth the fee if you like fae, furry or kawaii things. The Dragon set was full price but fab, including ears, horns, unscripted wings and a very dangerous-looking tail. (Potterheads, think Hungarian Horntail.) Do you have your Halloween Costume yet?

MR. OCTOPUS

A couple of new treats for the budget conscious. Epic has several nice newish VIP Group exclusives out in their lobby. These Varsity Jackets are so cute you just wanna pinch their metaphorical cheeks. I think there were a half dozen versions with different colors and kawaii mascots. For $5L each? Wow.



And I went by Mother Goose's the other day to see what they are up to lately. I made out like a bandit at the Lucky Boards, bought all their Gorgeousss dollarbies, and tried on Demos. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by their newer skins!! A couple of years ago I tried on a lot of her work and although the faces were sooo lovely I was discouraged from buying after getting a close look at the bodies. NOT so anymore! Although some of the older skins are still sold in the shop, and still used in the Lucky boards, her newer work is quite nice. YAY! If you haven't been for a while, you should take another look. What I love about Mother Goose's is that her faces are distinctive ... If you don't want to look like everyone else, give her a whirl.

SITTING PRETTY

I bought another chair!

Okay okay, maybe I do have a thing for chairs. Here's my home, you can see some of them. There might be a few more.

But this new chair I am sitting in, I picked it up at Rustica. It is really something special. Gorgeous yes, but more than that! It is mesh with a Prim Equivalent of TWO. That's right just TWO little prims.

... And the Rustica display at the March Mesh Madness fair is displaying more of Maxwell Graf's new must-see mesh items. These days he is making more than the beautiful medieval castles and furnishings he is known best for. He is making forays into mesh fashion, and even weapons. To top himself, he is offering this lovely Statue as a gift. WIN!
