Playing dress-up and trying on Halloween outfits this morning when I would rather be spending all my money at the Arcade. I can't get in!! JUST PEACHY

Catching up!! Here is a serendipitous match. GField's blouse is genius: the accompanying HUD changes the blouse between tucked and untucked versions, and picks between five colors. There are two different color HUDs. The tucked-in version fits almost perfectly with this skirt from Sysy's. There was a tiny gap between them that I hid by putting on a dark bodysuit underneath. The jewels are a nice little wardrobe staple too, because they change between eight colors.

THE GRAPHIC EQUALIZER

When I was a kid my stepmother had a good stereo system with a Graphic Equalizer that had a whole grid of green lights on the front. Just a random memory that popped up when I tried on this dress! QUEEN FOR A DAY

I would rather only be Queen for a Day. I'm not really fond of rigid ritual or endless cycles of obligatory appearances. One's lipstick must always be flawless, schedule adhered to, and manners strictly orthodox, or one is exposed to heartless criticism. Being perfect is an impossible job. Regarding the jacket, I am sure that the pelt came from some rare lavender Himalayan wildcat.



The crown is pretty, but a headache. Just imagine the hairpins.

Last evening I was playing in my closet and thinking not-so-profound thoughts, about upcoming holiday mayhem, the kidster, how inconvenient it is to be sick in December, yada yada, whilst making an outfit and messing with lighting and poses. ONE VOICE SPEAKS

Maybe you've been in a coma away and you haven't heard about the One Voice fundraiser to help pay for Gala Phoenix's legal bills. She is going to court to defend the originality of her skin art. While her shop has been closed, pending the court case, she does not have a Second Life income to rely on to pay legal fees.



This outfit is mostly made of pieces available at the One Voice fundraiser. All the products there are set to donate either 50% or 100%. Personally I was happy to go. I love the creativity and beauty of Second Life, and I would hate for SL's best designers to come to get even more cynical about the DMCA system and walk away. Wouldn't you?
